Eleonora is a charming, intelligent and witty Italian food writer and self-styled food interpreter who wants to share her wealth of knowledge on authentic Italian cuisine and culture with the world. Eleonora has recently published her first cookbook ‘As The Romans Do’ with Octopus. The book is going be translated in German, French, Dutch, Hungarian, and has already been featured as Waitrose’s book of the month and The Telegraph’s 2016 Big Food Trend.

Her work has received stellar reviews on The Guardian, Telegraph, Red Magazine, The Observer Food Monthly, Metro, Jamie Magazine, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose Magazine, Independent, Huffington Post and Evening Standard, to name but a few. As The Romans Do really embodies everything Eleonora is about – sharing the incredible culture and personality that Italian food has to offer in an accessible and beautiful, evocative way.

Eleonora has appeared on TV shows such as BBC's Saturday Kitchen and Channel 4's Sunday Brunch. Her latest collaborations on both Paul Hollywood new BBC2 series and Jamie Oliver's Channel 4 TV series will be aired in late 2017.

At a young age Eleonora’s curiosity to explore the food cupboard of her great grandmother’s kitchen turned this little girl’s curiosity into a hobby and then eventually into a career.

After graduating in the UK in the Business of Media she worked as a radio broadcaster in Paris and then Rome. Whilst in Rome, Eleonora decided to put her degree into practise and became a journalist specialising in Art.

She came up with an unusual way of trying to put her interviewees at ease - by inviting them to her home and cooking a meal for them. This worked so well that people began asking for lessons from her and requesting the recipes from the gorgeous lunches she was preparing. Eleonora decided to take the plunge and began running small cookery classes all over Rome.
