Ele Asu is a television journalist.

After her studies at prestigious French university ‘Sciences Po’, Ele worked forthe Ministry of Culture before turning her hand to journalism. She presented children’s TV on Direct 8 and soon moved to co-hosting the morning magazine programme “Direct Matin” with Mikaël Guedj. There, she learned to work withrolling news and honed her skills as a presenter.

In 2006 she was spotted by Canal+ and moved to their high-profile morningmagazine, the ‘Matinale‘. Ele was popular with both the public and her colleagues, winning the ‘Young Talent Award’ 2007 for Best Young Journalist in recognition of her skills and her warm personality.

Ele also presented “Réussite”, the magazine programme on the African economy as well as a ‘What the Papers Say’ programme on D8 at the weekend.
